Experience with Music Translated to Journalistic Skills:

 

As I have mentioned before, choir and theater are something I’m truly passionate about, not only in a writing sense but also in a performance sense whether that be choir or theater, which I feel has only helped my writing abilities relating to music as well as my communication and empathy skills to grow as a journalist. My eleven years in choir and the over 20 shows I have performed in have also gained my confidence in front of people and have made my brain more analytical, making it easier to think and write accurately and concisely. This also acts sort of like a theater/music portfolio, showing why I love writing about it so much and my dedication to writing for the craft.
